Vice President – Sales
Nate Blackburn joined Acquirent in April of 2011 as an Inside Sales Executive for the Visa account. Nate led a team that increased VISA partner contract close ratios, grew specific Visa channel partner revenue streams, and promoted Visa strategic brand awareness campaigns. In 2012, Nate attained the dual role of Sales Manager at Acquirent and Team Leader for the American Medical Association (AMA) account. In that role, Nate was responsible for leading a five-member team and increasing overall market penetration for AMA Medical Software applications. Nate currently oversees multiple client relationships focusing on sales management, sales trainin, and sales strategy implementation within the Technology and Healthcare segments. His goal is to build team members up so that they can reach their highest level of excellence for success.
Nate has held various professional roles at Merrill Lynch, Food for Thought and Madison Street Capital. Previous accomplishments include Youngest Manager, Top Inside Sales Professional, and Top Door to Door Salesman. Before his recent sales career, Nate has also been a relationship-centric entrepreneur; leading a successful tutoring practice and being a partner in a chain of wireless phone retail locations. Additionally, Nate serves on the board of Connections for the Homeless; an Evanston-based homeless prevention and self-sufficiency organization.
Nate grew up in Columbia, Missouri and moved to Chicago at age twelve. He holds a B.S. in Finance and Economics from DePaul University and an MBA in Finance from the Loyola University-Chicago Quinlan School of Business.
