Charlie DeYoung

Charlie was born in Lake Forest, Illinois and started his sales career selling office supplies to businesses in The Chicago Loop.  Since starting with Acquirent in February 2015, Charlie has worked with clients of different industries to drive the growth of commodity sales, subscription-based media sales, and advertising sales. Throughout his time here, he has developed capabilities that have enabled his growth as a salesperson from lead generation into a full sales cycle role. He earned Acquirent’s Highest Producer of the Year in 2016. Charlie is highly motivated to continue his development as a salesperson and strives to further his sales knowledge at every step.

He currently works with one of the country’s leading business to business media companies to increase advertising revenue, expand subscription pipeline sales, and grow its events business. Charlie currently serves as a Team Lead at Acquirent, and for his client, to lead a team of sales professionals towards common objectives and cohesive goals to benefit team success. His current leadership responsibilities include sales coaching, managing shared processes, ensuring goals are met, improving team performance, and providing all tools and resources necessary to enable the “A Game” of all team members.

Charlie studied political science at Ohio University and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Currently, he resides in Lake Forest, Illinois and enjoys coaching youth football and lacrosse, sailing, and spending time with family and friends.
