Sales Appointments

My company’s sales team was having a difficult time with setting up sales appointments. Overall, I thought that my sales team was highly successful. Once my sales team members had established appointments they always performed well and were able to generate a lot of interest in my company’s products. However the initial step of getting in touch with prospective clients over the phone and setting up appointments was always a challenge. My growing concern over this issue prompted me to look into other outlets for setting sales appointments.

The first alternative that I looked into was hiring and employing my own sales staff that would work specifically on appointment setting all day. I thought that by bringing in a team of telephone appointment setters I could alleviate the burden from my sales team. At first this solution seemed viable, but then when I took into consideration both the expenditures and the time that it would require I started to have my doubts. I would have to bring in new employees, train them about my products, and then set them up in an office and equip them with the resources that they would need to set sales appointments all day long. I liked the idea of keeping the appointment setting duty separate from the responsibilities of my sales team but I needed to find a realistic way to accomplish this. I decided to look for other options.

I looked online for suggestions on setting up sales appointments and found that there were sales outsourcing companies that existed that could perform all of your businesses sales appointment related work. These companies would hire and train a team of professional appointment setters that would produce a list of appointments for your sales team to go out on. These appointment setters were trained how to make appointments and then your sales team could go out and present your product and work their magic. The combined efforts of both skill sets would maximize my companied potential to grow.

This sounded like a fantastic service. By taking advantage of the outsourcing company, I could boost the entire morale of my sales team by letting them focus on what they do best, which was to sit down face to face with a prospective client and impress them with our products. This seemed to be the ideal sales appointment setting solution for my business. I could not wait to see the results.
